Injustice in our school athletics

Eileen Kim and I are both on the HKIS rugby team, and we have spoken multiple times about how unfairly treated the girls team is viewed in comparison to the boys team. For at home tournaments, the girls game times were organised to be at the most inconvenient times for students at school to watch while the boys got to play during lunch time or right after school. In addition, all the boys games were streamed live with multiple student technicians recording the game, but by the time of the girl's rugby game, all the student digital leadership team members had gone off and we had no footage of our game. I think it's really disappointing that athletes who put in the same amount of effort have to go through this hardship just because of gender, and I really hope there are improvements for future generations as we improve the life of female athletes in high school and collegiate sports.
